Photo of the Day: Japanese Barberry, New York Botanical Garden, Bronx, NY

I came upon this example of the Japanese barberry, a multi-branched dense shrub, a few weeks ago at the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx in New York City. As you can see from this photo I took then, its burgundy color is very striking.
