Greenwood, once a Gilded Age grand estate, has been
saved from neglect, reopening as a public park and cultural center in late
April, when I—and goodness knows how many others—got a look at this reclaimed
site. From the back of the brick manor house, where I took this photo, the
Italianate garden rolls and beckons before the eyes, infinitely inviting. There are even more fascinating spots on the grounds, which I hope to present to you in more shots over the next week or so.
