Photo of the Day: V in the Park, NYC



As I was walking on the southern perimeter of New York’s Central Park on Saturday, along 59th Street, I was much taken by this particular image of a V formed by walking paths surrounding some greenery.

All around me, everything appeared in muted brown tones. But it was a sign of how eager everyone was to grasp flickering signs of spring that they turned out in force to ride bicycles or simply to walk around.

Photo of the Day: Walking by an Icy Duck Pond, Ridgewood NJ



Saddle River County Park, not far from where I live in Bergen County, NJ, proved very alluring to walkers like myself this weekend. I took this photo of a group of them by its frozen (albeit with thin ice) wild duck pond on Sunday, in the same afternoon stroll that produced this other post from the other day.
