I have written about and photographed particular plants in the Berkshire Botanical Garden in Stockbridge,
MA before. But till now, I have never done an overview of an entire unit within these 15
acres of beautifully cultivated land that I visited in late August last year.
The Children’s Production Garden presented a unique
opportunity to highlight this institution’s educational mission, though. Here,
children can plant their own vegetables. The garden functions as a hands-on, learning
experience for these youngsters.
