This past Saturday, while in Lower Manhattan for a
play, I felt the urge afterward to walk around in the sunshine in Hudson River Park. As you can see from
the attached photo I took that afternoon, countless New Yorkers felt the exact
same way I did.
It was hard to believe today, as the sun
disappeared, the rains came and the temperatures dropped, but it was a far cry
from that this weekend, when, as Joni Mitchell sang in “Chelsea Morning”: “The sun
poured in like butterscotch/And stuck to all my senses.”
