Photo of the Day: Waiting Out the Storm, NYC
I had been hearing all day about a major storm
coming our way. A few blocks from my office late this afternoon, the
long-predicted downpour arrived. I made it across the street from where the
musical Hamilton is playing and, with the handful of people in this photo I
took, waited for the precipitation to abate.
I can’t say that when it was all over, the storm was
worth it: much of the mugginess lingers in the air even several hours later.
I'm a librarian (no, NOT a "cybrarian" or "information scientist" or any of the other trendy terms the profession has come up with), as well as a freelance writer/researcher; my political leanings are contrarian, much to the dismay of friends on the left and right, and so I will give anyone looking for my vote exactly what they deserve -- the back of my hand
