Stockbridge, MA figures in a line in James Taylor’s
song “Sweet Baby James,” as well as among museum lovers intrigued by those
dedicated to Norman Rockwell and Daniel Chester French. But maybe it can use a
little more fame among those intrigued by nature. After all, the town houses the marvelous Berkshire Botanical Garden, which I visited while on vacation in late August. This particular plant I photographed is a single-seed juniper.
