Last weekend, in search of flowers for our yard, my
father and I drove up to Metropolitan Farm/Garden Center in Closter, in Bergen
County, NJ. I took a photograph of its greenhouse, which had just about
everything we could possibly want.
It is good to have greenery still in the most
densely populated state in the Union—and particularly on a site so historic.
The stone farmhouse that also stands on this site dates back to the early
1700s.
