Photo of the Day: Sea Holly, Brooklyn Botanic Garden

Early last summer, I came across this rather exotic flower, the eringo, or sea holly, in the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. More specifically, I took this photo in the Shakespeare Garden, a garden-within-a-garden in this Brooklyn landmark. The Bard is often credited with making the first mention of eringoes. (See, for instance, The Merry Wives of Windsor.)
