Just before noon today, as I stepped out of my house
to get a bite to eat, I heard the brass sounds of a band coming from
nearby Veteran’s Memorial Park (formerly known as Depot Square Park) in my
hometown of Englewood, N.J. I rushed
back inside to retrieve my camera, and when I crossed the railroad tracks I came
across this scene: the band for Dwight Morrow High School, practicing and
awaiting their turn to join the march down Palisade Avenue for Memorial Day.Monday, May 25, 2015
