Photo of the Day: Colonial Reenactors at Ringwood Manor NJ
A few weekends ago, I drove up to Ringwood Manor,
just south of the New York-New Jersey border, to see players (and, as it turned
out, spectators) dressed in 19th-century garb. (For players, see
this prior post; for spectators, this one.) I hadn’t expected to find anybody outfitted from the century before that,
however.
So, when I saw these redcoats—and this lone colonist—I
whipped out my camera and got this shot.
I'm a librarian (no, NOT a "cybrarian" or "information scientist" or any of the other trendy terms the profession has come up with), as well as a freelance writer/researcher; my political leanings are contrarian, much to the dismay of friends on the left and right, and so I will give anyone looking for my vote exactly what they deserve -- the back of my hand
