For a while now, I have driven on a busy road
leading from Englewood Cliffs into Fort Lee, NJ, bordering on the George
Washington Bridge. Amid all the apartment complexes on one side of the street,
my eye has been continually drawn to a stretch of green. A couple of weeks ago,
