Photo of the Day: Saks Celebrates Fourth of July
They are not to be compared, of course, with their
window displays during the Christmas season. But Saks Fifth Avenue doesn’t let the opportunity go by to use the
Fourth of July, too, for visual merchandising in a small but concentrated
manner. I took this exterior shot of its big midtown store when I was passing by on
Wednesday.
I'm a librarian (no, NOT a "cybrarian" or "information scientist" or any of the other trendy terms the profession has come up with), as well as a freelance writer/researcher; my political leanings are contrarian, much to the dismay of friends on the left and right, and so I will give anyone looking for my vote exactly what they deserve -- the back of my hand
