"In a dark place we find ourselves… and a
little more knowledge might light our way." —Yoda (the voice of Frank Oz), in Star Wars: Episode III, Revenge of the Sith,
written and directed by George Lucas (2005)
For more than 30 years, Star Wars fans found themselves in a dark place, wondering how
series creator George Lucas could have gotten sidetracked by Jar-Jar Binks and
lost his focus on Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Princess Leia.
Now, perhaps, “a
little more knowledge” of the fate of these characters will make up for lost
time—and power Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Episode VII, if you’re keeping count—and who isn’t these days?) to
a box-office take far, far away from anything ever experienced before.
