I spent part of Sunday afternoon in a multiplex. It
seemed a shame, considering what a gloriously sunny, beautiful day it was.
But at least I got the chance to record, in this one shot, what struck me so much about the scene that day:
1) Edgewater, now in the midst of massive development (some seen here, to the left) driven by commuters attracted to its proximity to New York;
2) the New York City waterfront—an area that I don’t think the city fathers value to anywhere near the degree they should; and
3) the Hudson River and the creatures it has sustained, despite man’s best (or, I should say, worst) efforts.
