Photo of the Day: Garden and House, Chautauqua Institution, NY

As readers who have been following my blog even for the last few weeks will realize, I am quite a fan of Chautauqua Institution. Though its houses, often harking back to the Victorian Era, are picturesque, the carefully tended gardens anywhere you turn are also a delight to the eye. I reversed the order of the traditional phrase “house and garden” in the title of this post because the prominence of the garden in this particular photo dictated it.
