For all the snarky remarks that New York area residents have had
to endure in the past week about the Non-Blizzard of 2015, many of us—at least
in my neck of the woods, in northern New Jersey—had enough snowfall to make a
nice-sized snowman. (And others, let’s not forget, out on Long Island, had
upward of a foot and a half of snow.)
I took this particular shot of the front lawn of a
neighbor. The snowman reminds me of a sculpture in which the artist has molded
the clay into roughly the desired shape, but much remains to be filled in on
the details. Maybe the additional snow we’ll have within the next 24 hours will
provide the inspiration the homeowner to finish it off.
