Lucy
Van Pelt [voice of Tracy
Stratford]: “I know how you feel about all this Christmas business, getting
depressed and all that. It happens to me every year. I never get what I really
want. I always get a lot of stupid toys or a bicycle or clothes or something
like that.”
Charlie
Brown [voice of Peter
Robbins]: “What is it you want?”
Lucy:
“Real estate.”— A Charlie Brown Christmas,
air date Dec. 9, 1965, teleplay by Charles M. Schulz, directed by Bill Melendez
From five years ago, my post on the first airing of this iconic special.
As I researched this current post, I realized, with a
start, that the actors whose voices were used for the children in the show are
now in their late 50s and early 60s. My, how time flies!
