Photo of the Day: Top of the Taekwondo Heap, Times Square
On my way home from work early the other night, I
passed by this scene in Times Square. The entire area within the square was
closed off for activities for the the 2015 Times Square Taekwondo Festival. But the image that caught my eye the
most withn the sace was this one that I photographed. Maybe it reminded me of Ol’ Blue Eyes’ line from “New York, New
York,” when he proclaims that he wants to be “king of the hill, top of the
heap.”
I'm a librarian (no, NOT a "cybrarian" or "information scientist" or any of the other trendy terms the profession has come up with), as well as a freelance writer/researcher; my political leanings are contrarian, much to the dismay of friends on the left and right, and so I will give anyone looking for my vote exactly what they deserve -- the back of my hand
