Photo of the Day: Sylvan Waters, Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn
Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn was, justifiably, considered a
sensation when it was founded in 1838,
epitomizing a new style in pastoral landscapes for the final resting places of
Americans. One of the sights on its 478 acres was Sylvan Waters, captured in
this image that I took when I visited this National Historic Landmark last
October.

I've done a couple of funerals there. It's breathtaking!
