Quote of the Day (Gail Caldwell, on Your Choices and Your Story)
“You can’t change the tale so that you turned left
one day instead of right, or didn’t make the mistake that might have saved your
life a day later. We don’t get those choices. The story is what got you here,
and embracing its truth is what makes the outcome bearable.” —Gail Caldwell, New Life, No Instructions: A Memoir (2014)
I'm a librarian (no, NOT a "cybrarian" or "information scientist" or any of the other trendy terms the profession has come up with), as well as a freelance writer/researcher; my political leanings are contrarian, much to the dismay of friends on the left and right, and so I will give anyone looking for my vote exactly what they deserve -- the back of my hand
