A tip of my Irish tweed cap to my many
Italian-American friends celebrating Columbus Day! At lunchtime, I ventured out
of my Rockefeller Center office to walk east of the Avenue of the Americas, on the
stretch of West 48th Street where various groups were excitedly
waiting their turn in the annual Columbus Day Parade. Before long I was snapping away with my camera,
recording all kinds of images from the sunlit day, including the one you see here.
