Quote of the Day (Jeremiah, on How Trust in God Is Like a ‘Tree Planted by the Water’)
"But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD,
whose confidence is in him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that
sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves
are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to
bear fruit." —Jeremiah 17:7-8

I took this image of Chautauqua Lake seven weeks ago
while on vacation at the Chautauqua Institution in upstate New York.
I'm a librarian (no, NOT a "cybrarian" or "information scientist" or any of the other trendy terms the profession has come up with), as well as a freelance writer/researcher; my political leanings are contrarian, much to the dismay of friends on the left and right, and so I will give anyone looking for my vote exactly what they deserve -- the back of my hand
