Photo of the Day: Park, Lake and City

Friday, on my last day in New York City for 2011, I paused before visiting the New-York Historical Society to enjoy the unseasonably mild late-December weather in Central Park. Hundreds of other people had the same idea, including this group I photographed by the 20-acre man-made lake—the second-largest in this entire majestic urban park—near the Ladies’ Pavilion.
