Quote of the Day (Craig Ferguson, on an Unexpected Aspect of Evolution)

“Scientists say they have found the missing link—a little monkey. It lived on mostly twigs and berries, which makes it the direct answer of today’s supermodel.”—Craig Ferguson, on The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson, quoted in Reader’s Digest, September 2009

Hmmm…think the monkey’s number is Gisele? Something to think about…

That thought is probably enough to make certain of my readers turn creationist in a heartbeat.

Oh, wait—now comes news about Ardi, the oldest fossil skeleton of a human ancestor—a 110-pound female with a small brain. The “small brain” part still leaves open the possibility of supermodel descendants, but I’m afraid that the small height puts her out of that class. So choosy, that industry is!
