This small bronze sculpture squats outside the Brandywine River Museum, perhaps the best regional art museum I’ve come across. As you can guess, this image was taken last fall, when I was on vacation in eastern Pennsylvania—an especially idyllic time, considering that Hurricane Sandy hit not long after I got home. Spending time at the museum—very much including the adjacent Brandywine Creek—is one of the nicest pastimes I can think of for an autumn day, I think, and I hope to get back there again sometime.
Danger! Comfort Zone Ahead.
