On my way to work this past week, Times Square has
had the large installation that you see here, in a photo I took yesterday. The
Design Pavilion is a showcase for NYCxDESIGN 2018, New York City’s annual
celebration of design, running through May 23.
This year, more than 350 events—exhibitions,
installations, trade shows, talks, open studios, and more—will spotlight designers not only from New York City, but also around the world.
The citywide celebration embraces disciplines including architecture, design
education and thinking, digital and technology, craft, engineering, fashion,
film, furniture, graphic design, manufacturing, interior design, landscape
design, product design, theater, urban design, and many more.
