Photo of the Day: Delphinium, Chautauqua Institution, NY

Longtime readers of this blog know that Chautauqua Institution, in the southwest corner of New York State, is unusually rich with flowers during its summer season. One good example is this delphinium, a perennial that shows up in many structures in this gated community dating back to the Victorian Era, especially in cottage-style gardens. I photographed it while up here this week.
