Photo of the Day: Fun on the Esplanade, Battery Park City, NY

I took this photo in late December, but in fact it reminded me a bit of what it felt like to be in New York City today: sunny, but cold and windy enough to make you hurry a bit to where you might want to go. Still, if you were out walking along the Esplanade of Battery Park City, as these young women were doing back then, bright skies could allow you to overlook the occasional gust that made me you quicken your step or even grab your hat.
