Photo of the Day: ‘Boughs Which Shake Against the Cold’

“That time of year thou mayst in me behold
When yellow leaves, or none, or few, do hang
Upon those boughs which shake against the cold,
Bare ruined choirs, where late the sweet birds sang.”—William Shakespeare, Sonnet 73

I took the photo accompanying this post in early December nearly two years ago at the Tenafly Nature Center, a couple of miles from where I live in Bergen County, N.J.
