Quote of the Day (Abraham Lincoln, on His Mother)

“I remember my mother's prayers and they have always followed me. They have clung to me all my life.” —Abraham Lincoln

In his first inaugural address, Lincoln spoke movingly of "the better angels of our nature." He knew of these because of the mother who died early in his life, as well as the stepmother whom he loved and honored for the rest of his life as well. Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers who, like President Lincoln's--and mine--have lit the way for their children with prayer.
